Turkish Airlines carries 9m passengers in September

Turkish Airlines carried 9 million passengers in September 2026, recording a total load factor of 86.8%, according to the airline’s latest traffic results.

International load factor stood at 86.6%, while domestic load factor reached 88.2%.

Available seat kilometres (ASK) increased 2.5% year-on-year to 24.6 billion, compared with 24 billion in September 2025.

The airline also reported strong growth in cargo operations, with cargo and mail volumes rising 13% year-on-year to 205.7 thousand tonnes.

For the January-September period, Turkish Airlines carried 73 million passengers, representing a 5.2% increase compared with the same period last year.

Total load factor reached 85%, with international operations at 84.8% and domestic services at 86.7%.

ASK increased 4.4% to 212.2 billion from 203.3 billion during the first nine months of 2025.

Cargo and mail volumes also rose 10.6%, reaching 1.8 million tonnes, compared with 1.6 million tonnes a year earlier.

By the end of September, Turkish Airlines’ fleet had grown to 567 aircraft.
