Desert Rock Resort has become the first resort in Saudi Arabia to receive Three MICHELIN Keys, the highest distinction in The MICHELIN Guide’s global hotel selection.
Red Sea property Shebara Resort has
retained its Two MICHELIN Keys in the 2026 selection.
Desert Rock joins an exclusive group of 155 hotels worldwide awarded Three MICHELIN Keys in 2026 and is one of only two properties in the GCC to receive the distinction.
Globally,
the 2026 selection includes 155 Three-Key, 657 Two-Key and 2,020 One-Key hotels.
The resort has also received the 2026 MICHELIN Architecture & Design Award.
Located within the granite landscape of the Hijaz Mountains, Desert Rock was designed by Oppenheim Architecture around the concept of building with the land.
Its villas, suites
and shared spaces are integrated into the mountains, with 64 private-pool
villas and suites complemented by mountain adventures, stargazing, dining and
wellness experiences.
Shebara, meanwhile, is located on a private island in the Al Wajh Lagoon, offering a contrasting coastal experience surrounded by clear waters, white-sand beaches and coral reefs.
Its 73 private-pool villas include distinctive reflective overwater villas, while activities range from diving and snorkelling to sailing and electric water sports.
The resort also features five dining destinations and a
nature-led spa.
Both resorts are
operated by Red Sea Global Hospitality and offer distinct experiences along
Saudi Arabia’s west coast.
