Vatel Bahrain hosted its second Open Day of the year at Gulf Hotel, welcoming prospective students, families, alumni and hospitality professionals interested in advancing their careers in the hotel and tourism industry.

The event provided an introduction to Vatel Bahrain’s bachelor’s and master’s degrees in International Hotel Management, highlighting its educational approach, which combines theoretical study with practical training in professional hotel environments.

Guests also took part in a guided tour of Gulf Hotel, offering insight into the operational and managerial functions involved in running a major hospitality establishment.

A panel discussion was a key feature of the event, bringing together a Vatel Bahrain alumnus, a Gulf Hotel representative and a current student.

The speakers shared their experiences of moving from academic study and practical training into professional careers, while answering questions from attendees.

The discussion gave prospective students and their families a clearer understanding of Vatel Bahrain’s academic and industry-focused approach, professional expectations and career opportunities in the hospitality sector.

Sheikh Khaled bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, General Director of Vatel Bahrain, said: “Choosing a field of study is a major decision, and students need more than an overview of its programs. They need a clear understanding of the profession, industry expectations and the qualities required to succeed. The Open Day gave prospective students valuable first-hand insight, addressed their questions and helped them make well-informed decisions about their academic future. At Vatel Bahrain, we focus on instilling discipline and developing the communication and leadership skills our students need to enter the industry, advance within it and build rewarding careers in a dynamic and highly competitive environment.”

Charbel Hanna, Area General Manager, Gulf Hotels Group, said: “We were pleased to host Vatel Bahrain’s Open Day, reflecting our belief that developing talent with the capabilities to succeed professionally requires close collaboration between academic institutions and hospitality organizations. The event gave students first-hand insight into the precision, coordination and operational expertise behind the guest experience, while providing them with a clearer understanding of the workplace and the opportunities for career progression. Gulf Hotels Group will continue to support initiatives that bring young talent closer to the realities of the industry, help them understand its expectations and prepare them to build successful careers within it.” -TradeArabia News Service
