Bahrain explores stronger tourism-SME collaboration

Fatima Al Sairafi, Bahrain's Minister of Tourism and Chairperson of the Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority, met with Dalal Al Qais, CEO of the Bahrain Development Bank, to explore ways to enhance collaboration in supporting tourism investment and fostering the growth of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).

During the meeting, the two sides reviewed ongoing and potential joint initiatives aimed at advancing the tourism and events sectors, in line with the objectives of the Tourism Strategy 2022–2026 and Bahrain Economic Vision 2030.

Al Sairafi highlighted the role of SMEs in diversifying Bahrain’s tourism offering and enhancing visitor experiences, stressing the importance of partnerships with national development institutions to foster entrepreneurship, support business growth, and boost the Kingdom’s competitiveness as a tourism and investment destination.

Al Qais affirmed the BDB’s commitment to strengthening strategic partnerships with government entities and exploring innovative financing solutions to help tourism and events sector SMEs expand and capitalise on investment opportunities, supporting Bahrain’s sustainable economic development. -TradeArabia News Service
