Incheon International Airport Corporation (IIAC) and Star Alliance have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to establish a dedicated Star Alliance lounge at Terminal 1 of Incheon International Airport, ensuring continued premium lounge access for eligible passengers.
The agreement comes
ahead of Asiana Airlines’ departure from Star Alliance on December 16, 2026, as
part of its integration with Korean Air.
Star Alliance
passengers currently use Asiana Airlines lounges at Incheon, making the new
facility important for maintaining premium services following the airline’s
exit.
The dedicated lounge
will serve passengers travelling with 14 Star Alliance member airlines
operating at Incheon, connecting them to 29 destinations worldwide.
The airport ranked as
the world’s leading airport for international passenger traffic in the first
half of 2026, highlighting its importance as a global aviation hub.
The facility will
become Star Alliance’s seventh dedicated lounge worldwide, joining existing
locations at Paris Charles de Gaulle, Los Angeles International and Guangzhou
Baiyun airports. Eligible Star Alliance passengers also have access to more
than 1,000 lounges globally.
At the signing
ceremony, Ambar Franco, Vice President Customer Experience at Star Alliance,

experience for customers. We are proud to establish a Star Alliance lounge at
