Doha to get new Mövenpick

THE afuturistic design of the 25-storey Mövenpick Residence and Suites Doha, will create a landmark in the wealthy and prestigious West Bay area of doha.

Most of the 204 studios and 140 one-bedroomed apartments have kitchenettes but also will enjoy round-the-clock room service. The flexibility of the interior design, with connecting doors between the studios, will allow 86 two-bedroomed and 14 three-bedroomed apartments when required.
There will be a 240 square metre function room and six meeting rooms of various dimensions with a fully equipped business centre on the first floor. The main restaurant, also on the first floor, will seat 120; there will also be a speciality restaurant and terrace and a lobby lounge/ café and terrace on the ground floor. A further dining area will be the pool barbecue on the 25th floor, which is a level specially designed for recreation with swimming pools, a games room for children and a Health and Fitness Centre with four massage rooms and separate sections for ladies and men. The 24th floor will accommodate a large gymnasium, accessible from the 25th floor.
The property is scheduled to open in late 2006.
