Rehlat allows customers to lock fares for flight bookings

Rehlat, Middle East’s leading online travel agency, has launched an innovative feature that allows users to lock flight fares and pay only when their plan is confirmed.

"Even if the fare increases, users still pay the locked fare only," the company said in a statement.

As an introductory offer, Price Lock is now available for Dh15 ($4.0) only.

Reserve now, pay later is a traditional mode of payment that dominates hotel-bookings with popular sites like booking.com, Expedia, and many more offering the same. How Price Lock works?

• If the booking is eligible for Price Lock, users will be able to see the “Pay Later” tab on the search results page.
• After clicking on “Pay Later”, below screen will display lock fare, date of final payment, and other required details. Users can click on “Lock Fare Now’ to confirm the same.
• Pay the lock fare in the payment section to hold the airfare for the specified time limit. Once the payment has been made to lock the fare, an e-mail is sent to the user detailing the last date for the confirmation along with the balance payment required to confirm the booking.

Rehlat also sends automated reminders (messages & emails) to consumers prior to the booking date. - TradeArabia News Service
