FOUR Seasons Hotel Kuwait at Burj Alshaya has become the glamorous centrepiece of Kuwait City, in less than two years of operation.

“Positioned in a prime, central location, this is a magnetic gathering place for the city’s business and social elite alike, offering the most exciting destination for dining, spa, weddings and business events,” Didier Jardin, Four Seasons Hotel Kuwait’s general manager, tells TTN.

The five-star luxury hotel, featuring residential-style 217 guest rooms and 67 suites, is all about high-performance workspaces, thoughtful attention to detail, and of course, legendary Four Seasons hospitality.

Winner of the ‘Best Business Hotel Kuwait’ award at the Business Traveller Middle East Awards 2018, the hotel features five meeting spaces with full audio-visual capabilities for presentations and video conferencing, and a fully equipped business centre. Two elegant ballrooms round off the offering: Al Bidaa Ballroom (1,351 sq m) and Al Mirqab Ballroom (716 sq m).

“A major trend that we see these days is the expansion of the foodie culture within the Middle East, particularly in the Gulf. I can tell from what I have witnessed in terms of new developments in the local food and beverage scene, that Kuwait City is on its way to become the world’s food capital by 2030,” says Jardin.

In line with the rising gastronomy trend, Four Seasons Hotel Kuwait is home to some of the country’s finest restaurants: signature outlets Dai Forni (Italian cuisine) and Sintoho (Asian cuisine) that offer fabulous rooftop views; Elements Restaurant (colourful and buzzing, market-style breakfast and lunch spot); Al Bandar lounge; and Al Soor lobby lounge.

Design is another key trend when it comes to the evolving expectations of guests in the region, who now increasingly want to share beautiful pictures of their travel experiences, the general manager says.

“Whether it is our business travellers, who are looking for a chic and stylish base to entertain their clients or leisure guests that want to relax in scenic surroundings, design as a trend is helping us enhance the aesthetic value we deliver to our guests.”

The beautiful property was crowned ‘2018 Meed Hotel of the Year’ in recognition of excellence in design, engineering and construction, and was selected by Wallpaper magazine as one of its ‘Striking Structures Around the Globe for 2018’. The hotel was also recently included in Condé Nast Traveller Middle East’s 2019 Gold List.
