You Go Morocco drive continues

Shaker … visit picturesque Casablanca

Representing the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Oman, Egypt, Jordan and India, local travel and tourism companies took part in You Go Morocco 2018, Morocco’s key promotional event aimed at raising awareness of its touristic opportunities and offerings to the world. The delegations attended multiple meetings with Moroccan counterparts at the week-long event, held from October 14 to 19 in Casablanca.

Mohamed Sadiq Shaker, director for the Morocco National Tourist Office for the Middle East and Asia said in a statement: “This prestigious event comes in line with Morocco’s strategy to develop the kingdom’s travel and tourism sector by promoting its offerings, further strengthening its position as an integrated tourist destination. It also serves as an ideal platform to generate more business with tourism partners from the GCC region, the Middle East and Asia.”

Held in partnership with Nirvana Travel & Tourism, the event also comprises of a multi-city tour for the participating delegations from the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Oman, Egypt, Jordan, and India, designed to give a comprehensive idea of the tourist attractions in the two major Moroccan cities- Casablanca and Marrakech. 

Shaker said: “Casablanca is a picturesque city, a haven booming with limitless attractions, and offers a wide variety of leisure and entertainment activities for tourists. It is located on the shores of the glittering waters of the Atlantic Ocean, making the city infinitely beautiful.”

The executive director of communications & projects of Nirvana Travel & Tourism, Omar Al Ali, said: “The spotlight theme of the promotional tour is to highlight the historic relevance of Moroccan cities and the impact of its ancient civilisation. The event will focus on the authenticity and value of Morocco as a product of tourism, making it a unique and attractive destination for international travellers.”

You Go Morocco 2018 drew 50 travel companies from the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Oman, Egypt, Jordan and India, who will promote family tourism in Morocco within its communities.

The Morocco National Tourist Office for the Middle East and Asia, headquartered in Abu Dhabi, recently renewed its partnering with Nirvana Travel & Tourism to launch the You Go Morocco 2018 promotional campaign, for the second consecutive year.
