M Hotel Downtown by Millennium in Dubai has announced the appointment of two new members to its management team.

Yulduz Kengbaeva has been named the director of sales for leisure and Sarah Julie Ferry joins as director of sales for corporate and Mice.

Kengbaeva, who brings 14 years of strategic sales experience in the travel, tourism and hospitality sectors to her new role at the property, is well-versed in establishing innovative offers and sales initiatives within the key market segments.

Prior to joining M Hotel Downtown by Millennium, she was previously the assistant director of sales in Ajman Hotel where she was in charge of leading the sales team in implementing diverse approaches targeted for leisure travellers, maintaining comprehensive client servicing and preparing annual sales plans and budget.

In her new role, Kengbaeva will further strengthen the stature of M Hotel Downtown by Millennium as one of the thriving hotel destinations in the city by utilising a mix of key performance initiatives, such as identifying business opportunities, upholding the highest performance standards, and implementing procedures to improve overall operation and effectiveness of the property. She will also take lead in building and maintaining positive partnerships with the country’s biggest travel and tourism agencies.

As director of sales for corporate & Mice, Ferry will lead the team in boosting the hotel’s performance by maximising business opportunities and initiating goal-driven strategies.

A French national, Ferry holds a Bachelor’s degree from IEMI-CMH Academy in Paris, France. She joined the hospitality sector in 2012 where she assumed executive and managerial positions across distinct hotels in the country including Fairmont the Palm Dubai, Dusit Thani Abu Dhabi, and Bab Al Qasr Hotel & Residences. In her previous roles, she focused on sales categories including corporate events and conferences.

Now on her sixth year of expertise in the UAE market, Ferry will be responsible for enhancing sales priorities for business-related bookings while also tapping into the country’s thriving MICE tourism industry. Additionally, she will work towards effectively executing sales and marketing plans, growing a high-performing sales team, and keeping up to date with the latest offers and trends in the city.
