Nothing paves the way for better connections than speed of travel. Korea’s No 1 train operator, Korail is firing on all cylinders to ensure successful Pyeongchang Olympics by carrying passengers safely, providing Olympic related travel packages and necessary support for Olympic Games. Under the new plan KTX, Korea’s high-speed rail system, will connect Incheon International Airport T2 and Seoul station with Gangneung. The average travel time between Seoul station and Gangneung is 1 hour and 54 minutes. KTX trains will run on the Gyeonggang line at a maximum speed of 250 km per hour.

Korail has recently released a range of rail travel packages related to PyeongChang Olympics. The Korail Pass valid for 5 and 7 days, is designed solely for foreign visitors to travel around the country by all types of trains operated by Korail.  Jae Young Yu, president and CEO of Korail commented, “Korail is doing its best to successfully open the GyeongGanag Line which will transform the transportation network in Gangwon province zone”.
