The Phoenicia Malta has officially reopened following a large-scale renovation, reaffirming its long-held reputation as Malta’s leading luxury hotel. An addition to the CampbellGray Hotels portfolio, the relaunch will herald a new era for this much-loved grand hotel located in Floriana, just outside of the island’s capital, Valletta.

The hotel boasts a complete refurbishment and upgrading of all 136 elegantly appointed guest rooms, a new outdoor infinity pool overlooking the historic Masamxett Harbour, and a re-landscaping of the hotel’s grounds and terraces.

The Grand Ballroom has also undergone a refurbishment and the hotel’s classic façade has been restored. Opening in August 2017, the hotel’s new café, Café Phoenicia, will feature an outdoor terrace overlooking the impressive Bastian Walls, Renzo Piano’s City Gate and the remodelled Triton’s Fountain.

The Phoenicia’s renovation is testament to CampbellGray Hotels commitment to providing unmatched comfort, thoughtful service and modern amenities that today’s luxury global travellers expect, recently endorsed by its membership of The Leading Hotels of the World.

The Phoenicia Malta’s architectural beauty is widely considered to be one of the sights of Malta, the restoration has been sympathetic to the hotel’s heritage. Great effort has been taken to maintain many of the original features for example, the sprung loaded dance floor in the Ballroom, much loved by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, has been kept intact.
