Located in the tranquil Himalayan foothills, close to the mythological cities of Haridwar and Rishikesh, surrounded by graceful Sal forests, overlooking the Ganges as it meanders into the distance, Ananda offers guests a spiritual getaway in the midst of nature.
Ananda in the Himalayas is built around the 100 acre palace estate of the Maharaja of Tehri- Garhwal, near Rishikesh. The resort features an expansive world-class spa with expert therapists and consultants, a temperature controlled swimming pool, state of the art gymnasium, several outdoor yoga pavilions and mini 6-hole golf course. The sprawling property offers a rejuvenating experiencing where guests can enjoy ancient holistic healing approaches such as ayurveda, yoga and vedanta combined with contemporary international therapies.
As well as stay, the property offers well-balanced menus, prepared in consultation with an in-house Ayurvedic doctor. For those not on a wellness programme but simply looking for relaxation and rejuvenation, an international menu with signature dishes comprising some of the best from world cuisine is also on offer.
Ananda’s signature wellness programmes such as Weight Management, Detox, Ayurvedic Rejuvenation, and Stress Management are world renowned. Ananda is the only one of its kind to be voted within the World’s Top 5 Destination Spas for eight consecutive years (from 2005 to 2012 by Condé Nast Traveller Reader’s Choice Awards).
