TRAVELPORT, the business services provider to the global travel industry, has announced a significant new reseller relationship with OTT Group Ltd (OTT) that will see one of the world’s largest resources for online travel training become an official retailer of Travelport’s latest GDS training modules in the Middle East and Africa.
This agreement, together with Travelport Academy – Travelport’s recently launched online travel training portal – will enable OTT, who currently have 70,000 plus registered members worldwide, provide up-to-date and relevant training on Travelport’s core GDS systems to both travel industry professionals as well as members of the general public who may be interested in starting a new career in the travel industry.

By teaming up with Travelport Academy, OTT now has the opportunity to retail the most up-to-date GDS training modules to existing and future travel agents in the Middle East and Africa.”

The company also joined forces with Al Tayyar Travel group for a new multi-year agreement, which will see Travelport expand its current business and enter into new joint ventures with the Saudi travel giant. These include providing skills training and developing the expertise of travel professionals in the Kingdom, driving the recruitment of young Saudis in the field of travel and tourism, and promoting tourism initiatives in the Kingdom on a global level.
Travelport also announced a new tool for their Middle East and Africa travel agents which will enable them to significantly enhance the way they manage, mark-up and control the onward distribution of their airline filed private fares. The new tool automates the often complex, time consuming and manual processes they follow today.
