Harb joins as new GM

Hyatt Regency Dubai & Galleria has appointed David Harb as the new general manager. Prior to this, he was the hotel manager of Grand Hyatt Dubai. Harb is an experienced Hyatt veteran and started his career as assistant manager of food and beverage with Hyatt Regency New Orleans, in 2002.


Ali to manage Salalah hotel

Bahraini national Hameed Ali has been appointed general manager of Hamdan Plaza Hotel Salalah in Oman. He is a 30 years’ hospitality veteran, having worked with Gulf Hotels Group, Accor, IHG, HMH and City Seasons Hotels. He has also worked for British Airways and spent ten years with the Hilton Group.


Meow joins Al Bait Sharjah

Al Bait Sharjah has appointed Albert Meow as hotel manager, overseeing the daily hotel operations with special focus on sales and marketing. Before joining Al Bait Sharjah, Meow was the sales & marketing director at The Oberoi Beach Resort Al Zorah, Ajman. He has over 20 years of hospitality experience.


Vidovic moves to RAK

Hilton has appointed Ninoslav Vidovic as cluster commercial director for the Hilton Ras Al Khaimah Resort and Spa, and Hilton Garden Inn properties in Ras Al Khaimah. His most recent role was the cluster director of sales for Hilton in Prague, where he led one of the biggest Hilton clusters in Europe.


Purnima joins as DOSM

Indian national Purnima Sunil has joined Millennium Airport Hotel Dubai as the director of sales and marketing. Prior to this, she was director of business development for Bonnington Hotel Dubai. She has over two decades of hospitality experience and started her career in Mumbai before moving to Oman in 1995.


Tayach joins as cluster GM

Kempinski Hotels has appointed Karim Tayach as the new cluster general manager of Marsa Malaz Kempinski, The Pearl – Doha and Kempinski Residences & Suites, Doha. Prior to this, Karim was general manager at The Ritz-Carlton, Bali. He has more than 27 years of experience in the luxury hotel industry.


Medvedev moves to UAE

Chef Vitaly Medvedev has been appointed as the executive pastry chef at The Ritz-Carlton Abu Dhabi, Grand Canal. He is an industry veteran, having worked with luxury hotels in Kazakhstan, Australia, Russia and Switzerland, and specialises in designing menus to provide nutrition consultancy to athletes.


Emirates Palace gets manager

The newly rebranded Emirates Palace in Abu Dhabi has appointed Nicolas Messian as its new hotel manager. The French national joins from The Ritz Carlton Toronto, where he held a similar position, and brings over a decade of luxury hospitality experience, including a stint in Dubai’s One and Only Royal Mirage.
