Anantara heralds French debut with Nice hotel

Anantara Hotels, Resorts & Spas, a luxury hospitality brand, has debuted in France with the opening of Anantara Plaza Nice Hotel.

Blending old-world elegance with contemporary luxuries, the heritage property overlooking the Promenade des Anglais is now open following an extensive two-year renovation to its Belle Époque era glory.

Centrally located at the entrance to Nice’s Golden Square, Anantara Plaza Nice Hotel overlooks Albert 1er gardens and the glittering Promenade des Anglais – the most famous stretch of seafront in Nice. Reopening with 151 rooms including 38 suites, many with sea-facing terraces and balconies, the remarkable 175-year-old building features a new Anantara Spa, as well as a stylish rooftop restaurant and bar with a 360-degree panoramic view of the Baie des Anges and Old Nice.

 

NH Collection Dubai The Palm opens

NH Collection Dubai The Palm, a new-build 532-key luxury hotel on the trunk of the Palm Jumeirah with spectacular views across the Dubai skyline, has opened its doors and represents the debut of the NH Collection brand in the Middle East.

The property with direct access to West Palm Beach features 226 hotel guest rooms and suites in addition to 306 studios and apartments across 11 room categories.

The bold, original décor is upbeat and playful, mixing splashes of authentic local character reflecting the vibrancy of the destination. Higher room categories, including the Premium Sea View Room, the One Bedroom Sea View Suite, and Superior One Bedroom Sea View Apartment, offer captivating views of the Dubai Marina skyline and Arabian Gulf and exclusive access to the NH Collection Premium Lounge.

The hotel offers easy access to all the attractions of The Palm, Downtown Dubai, and the leisure districts of JBR and Dubai Marina, while also being within easy reach of Dubai International Airport, Dubai Old Town, and business zones throughout the emirate and the wider UAE.

 

Mandarin Oriental plans new Mallorca resort

Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group has announced that it will manage a new beach resort in one of the most sought-after locations on the island of Mallorca, Spain, scheduled to open during the second half of 2024.

The new luxury resort is being developed by Spanish based Blasson Property Investments and comprises a significant reconstruction and redesign of the former H10 Punta Negra hotel, which occupies an iconic peninsula on the Costa d’en Blanes in the southwest of the island. Following the completion of the renovation, the hotel will be named Mandarin Oriental Punta Negra, Mallorca.

Surrounded by natural beauty, the resort spreads over three hectares of landscaped cliff tops and gardens cascading down to the sea, where it offers unique access to two coves surrounded by crystalline waters. The property is ideally located within Calvià, one of the most exclusive municipalities of the island, and close to key attractions such as the Portals port, the historical landmarks of the capital Palma de Mallorca, and the international airport.

 

Aleph Hospitality debuts in Uganda

Aleph Hospitality, a leading hotel management company has entered the Ugandan market with the signing of a management contract to operate two boutique hotels: Masheda Palms in Buyala and A’lure Hotel & Suites in Kampala.

Aleph Hospitality’s portfolio now stretches across six countries on the African continent.

Located in a leafy residential area in the capital, Kampala, in proximity to the Rubaga Cathedral and the Uganda museum, A’lure Hotel & Suites opened its doors in November 2020. The boutique hotel features all the contemporary amenities of a four-star hotel plus silent zones for creative thinking, palm trees, cool breezes and a laid-back vibe.

Masheda Palms, located in Buyala town, opened its doors in July 2020 and features authentic thatched-roof cottages in lush green settings with secret morning coffee spots and storytelling moments around the fireplace. Popular among families, the resort is ideally situated for experiences such as nature walks, flower gardens, heritage and architecture memories.
