Backed by a decade of successful operations in India and a strong portfolio of marquee brands, luxury hospitality consulting and representation firm THRS has announced its expansion in the GCC.

THRS is the region’s leading hospitality services company focused on the sales representation, integrated marketing & public affairs aspects of the business for luxury hospitality brands.

A private event, keeping in line with the Covid-19 safety protocols, was organised for select trade partners to mark the occasion.

The GCC operations will be managed under the expertise of Mithu Agarwal who has joined THRS with more than 20 years of experience in the travel and tourism industry. Currently for the GCC market, THRS represents Resplendent Ceylon – a trail of luxury resorts in Sri Lanka and Relais & Chateaux – the French brand that celebrates the art of hospitality and cuisine. Both these brands have been part of THRS’ India portfolio for 5 and 10 years respectively.

Yeishan Goel, Chief Executive Officer, THRS, said: “We have held a deep interest in the GCC for the last 3-4 years and it is exciting to see our plans come to fruition. The Middle East is a service heavy market and yet diverse in terms of traveller preferences and travel trends. The tourists from this region are some of the highest spending travellers in the world. We believe there is a huge demand for luxury seeking travellers from the GCC that is yet to be tapped. With Mithu leading from the front, we are ramping up our operations and prospecting for this market.”

The by-invitation-only event was organised at the iconic Palazzo Versace Hotel in Dubai recently and was attended by 20 travel partners and curators who specialise in catering to the luxury Middle East traveller. Subject to safety protocols, THRS is looking to organise more such events in the coming months to showcase the portfolio and to interact and connect with trade partners based in different source markets in the GCC.

Gautam Saigal of American Express Middle East said: “The last year was tough for our industry and even though travel restrictions continue to be in place, there is a sense of renewed hope. It was wonderful to reconnect with colleagues from the industry and to look ahead to the future when travel picks up again. We are looking forward to working with THRS and bringing our customers closer to Resplendent Ceylon and Relais & Chateaux which are both quintessential luxury brands.” - TradeArabia News Service
