Travel Trade Maldives (TTM), the largest travel trade show in the Maldives, is scheduled to host its third edition from 11 to 13 this month.
Over 2,000 prescheduled meetings have already been set to take place and organiser Orca Media Group (previously Maldives Getaways) expects to have more than 3,000 meetings scheduled by the end of the month, discussing over $1 billion worth of business contracts.
A major focus of TTM is to address ways in which demand would meet the ever-growing supply planned for the tourism industry of the country while looking at the future. It is estimated that by the year 2020, Maldives would have over 50,000 beds.
Over 100 resorts and 200+ local and international travel producers are expected to exhibit and participate in the event. TTM consists of four main components; TTM Travel Summit, TTM Pre-scheduled Meetings, Maldives Supplier Expo and TTM Awards & Gala Night.
The theme of this year’s summit is ‘Travel Tech & Analytics which will help the travel industry to unleash analytics, dynamic pricing, digital and AI potential to deliver unstoppable customer loyalty and profit. This summit is scheduled to take place on June 11 at Bandos Maldives. Over 150 key travel professionals are expected to participate in this platform.
Pre-scheduled meetings offers a B2B platform where industry professionals are provided with the opportunity to meet and interact with globally renowned travel agents and tour operators. It also allows them to grow their businesses within one of the most lucrative and leading travel destinations in the world, the Maldives.
The inaugural Maldives Supplier Expo, which was held for first time last year, is an invitation-only event, where exhibiting companies can meet key decisionmakers including engineering directors, head chefs, procurement managers and chief financial officers from all over the Maldives. Exhibitors and visitors can pre-schedule meetings via a special software prior to the event while giving potential buyers an excellent opportunity to get an overview of offers for the industry.
The last component of TTM is the TTM Awards & Gala night, which is an invite-only gathering featuring an elegant multi-cultural banquet, live music and the opportunity to network with industry stakeholders.
