A suite fit for royalty

Located on the West Crescent of Dubai’s Palm Jumeirah, the 100,000 sqm beach resort pays homage to the grand palaces of 18th century continental Europe, honouring the Neoclassical style of architecture.

The property boasts 391 rooms, suites and villas, eight world-class restaurants and bars, the 3,000 sqm Cinq Mondes Spa, a wellness centre and yoga studio, a 500 m white-sand beach, and a private cinema. Add to that an 18-hole putting green for avid golfers and the largest indoor pool on Palm Jumeirah, and Emerald Palace Kempinski Dubai certainly seems to be an invitation into palatial living.

We spoke to Sebastien Mariette, managing director of Emerald Palace Kempinski Dubai and Kempinski Hotel and Residences Palm Jumeirah, who tells TTN, “At Emerald Palace Kempinski Dubai, the regal experience starts right from the moment a guest books a room, as our dedicated lady in red will contact the guest prior to arrival to ensure all his needs are taken care of. We offer this unique service to each and every guest, providing them with the ultimate personalised stay.

“Inspired by the  grand palaces of 18th century continental Europe, guests can expect discreet service, refined dining and unique experiences catering to the privileged few, setting a new precedent in a city synonymous with pioneering hospitality.

“From the grand atrium that features a striking chandelier made from 40,000 Swarovski crystals, to an ornate ballroom accented with damask silk tapestries, and the Blüthner Supreme Edition Louis XIV grand concerto piano in the spectacular Blüthner Hall, every detail has been custom-designed to deliver authenticity in uncompromising Neoclassical style.”

Mariette tells TTN readers about the eight outlets on the property, highlighting that one of them is miX by Alain Ducasse, the first restaurant in the UAE for the celebrated, three Michelin-starred chef.

There are 16 room categories in total, but for those looking for total privacy, there are eight four-bedroom beachside villas, which come with a secluded private pool, Jacuzzi, spa and hammam.

“When only a stately setting will do, Emerald Palace Kempinski Dubai offers a choice of supreme function rooms and business facilities. Fit for any royal occasion, the 612 sq m ‘Grand Salon Maximilian’ ballroom is an ornate work of art with exquisite design features delivering palatial glamour and finesse making it the ideal choice for lavish weddings, events or intimate family gatherings.”

Says the managing director, “At the moment, our main focus is FIT – discerning individual travellers and families as well as groups. Key markets are the Gulf countries, Commonwealth of Independent States, the UK and Germany.”
