Darwish … aim to exceed customer expectations

Qatar-based hospitality chain Retaj Hotels and Hospitality has launched its new mobile application. Speaking about this is Mohamed Darwish, the regional director of marketing and in charge of business development, for Retaj.

'Technology has become so widely used, especially in the hotels industry. Customers, for example, seek to know how many loyalty programme points they’ve accumulated through their stay and what the redemption of the points would get them.

'They seek to book their stays and trips from their homes. They need to reach out to guest services online. With an app, they can seek multiple services such as requesting room dining, room cleaning, maintenance etc. All these services are requested in today’s date without calling multiple departments, and all can be done from one place.'

Says Darwish, 'Companies are moving fast in order to absorb the highest share in the market. However, those who understand their customers’ needs and aim to exceed their expectations will be the leaders.'
