Al Zorah’s new course to tee off later this year

Al Zorah, a lifestyle development spread over an area of 5.4 million square metres in Ajman will open its golf course this year, according to Troon Golf.

Located along the natural coastline of the emirate of Ajman in the UAE, the flagship project of Al Zorah Development Company will feature an 18-hole golf course, designed by legendary 18-time Major Champion Jack Nicklaus of Nicklaus Design and managed by Troon Golf.

Set within a stunning natural environment, with flowing dunes and an in-land mangrove area, the highly desirable location will provide golfers with a unique golf experience with water levels shifting with the tides throughout the day, and completed with pristine course conditioning of the paspalum grass.

The luxurious clubhouse will boast superior levels of service and hospitality synonymous with the Troon brand as well as an extensive range of amenities including two, 150 plus room, beach hotels and villas, stretching along 2 kilometres of sandy shoreline with stunning views of the Arabian Gulf and further natural wonders such as lagoons, creeks and a natural mangrove forest.

The development’s first phase, worth $544 million, will be complete by the end of 2015.  

The first 42 golf villas, which were launched last year, will be completed by mid-2016. The two resorts will be ready within six months of each other, sometime between the end of 2015, and early 2016.
