LOCATED on the shores of the Arabian Peninsula, Qatar combines year-round sunshine with a clean and safe environment, sightseeing and shopping opportunities.

In 2015, Qatar is once again set to raise the bar with luxury brand new offerings set to place Qatar in the spotlight – from leading restaurants to opulent hotels, these exciting introductions will rapidly enhance our global reputation as the fast-emerging luxury tourist destination to watch.

THE WORLD'S LARGEST NOBU

High-end dining in the Middle East is no more apparent than with the opening of the world’s largest Nobu in Doha. Four Seasons Hotel has partnered with Nobuyuki Matsuhisa to open an outpost of the world-renowned seafood restaurant. The 26,000 sq foot restaurant, designed by architect David Rockwell, will feature three floors with both indoor and outdoor seating and panoramic views over the Arabian Gulf. Although offering many of the brand’s signature dishes such as yellowtail sashimi with jalapeno, the menu will also feature new creations using local ingredients and exotic spices such as black-streaked monocle bream fresh from the Arabian Gulf.

KEMPINSKI LAUNCHES

With its imminent opening planned, Kempinski Hotels has partnered with Alfardan Hospitality to launch Marsa Malaz Kempinski. This luxury development is on its own secluded island within the iconic The Pearl - Qatar and is the first ultra-luxury hotel in Doha’s most sought after waterfront location. The hotel concept blends Arabian hospitality with Venetian architecture. The façade and the interiors are set to make the hotel a truly iconic destination for visitors.

BANANA ISLAND RESORT

Banana Island Resort Doha by Anantara has opened its doors, offering guests the first and only over water villas in Qatar as well as a one-of-a-kind wellness centre. The distinctive crescent shape of the island provides a natural harbour framed by an 800-metre long private beach.

The five-star resort features 141 luxury guest rooms, suites and villas. Facilities for families include a ten-pin bowling alley, a soft play jungle gym, a luxury gold-class cinema to the surf pool (first and only in Qatar with a professional surf instructor from the Maldives), and a nine-hole golf putting course.
