SCHLOSS Elmau Retreat-Luxury Suites & Spa, set to open on March 21, is a hotel within a hotel, part of Schloss Elmau yet also a world of its own. The 47 spacious suites, three restaurants and lounges with open fireplaces, libraries and terraces, and the spa with its yoga pavilion and separate areas for adults, women and families, all offer spectacular views of monumental Wetterstein Mountain and burbling Ferchen brook.
The wellness retreat will have a 21,000 feet Shantigiri Spa with different areas for women, adults and families, perfectly suited for customers from the region.
Schloss Elmau is located 60 miles south of Munich and 3,200 feet above sea level in perhaps the most beautiful valley in the Alps. The castle was built in 1916 by the philosopher Dr Johannes Müller as a cultural meeting place. In 2005 after a major fire the hotel was rebuilt from 2006 to 2007 by his grandson Dietmar Mueller-Elmau with exceptional generosity and attention to detail, and has since then been consistently ranked as one of the Best Resorts throughout the World.
